QGIS Tanzania User Group

• Promote the use of QGIS in Tanzania's government agencies, NGOs, and private sector
• Provide training and support for new QGIS users in Tanzania
• Coordinate local QGIS development and customization for Tanzanian needs
• Share information about QGIS through meetings, social media, and local GIS events
• Support translation of QGIS documentation into Swahili
• Create specialized modules for local applications (agriculture, urban planning, conservation)
• Organize regular user meetings across major Tanzanian cities
• Connect Tanzanian QGIS users with the global QGIS community

We hold monthly meetings in Dar es Salaam on the first Thursday of each month. Regional chapters in Arusha, Mwanza, and Dodoma meet regularly as well. Our meetings include:

• Networking opportunities
